Volunteering

Parents and friends play a vital role in the education of our students. We welcome their assistance as volunteers in the classroom, excursions, sport, P&F activities and more.

There are many opportunities with which volunteers can bring a wealth of experience and range of skills such as:

  • Classroom helpers (Junior School)
  • Class and/or year level coordinators: providing a communication link between the school, P&F and parents
  • International House Homestay Program
  • P&F activities such as the All Saints Fair, annual social events and supporters groups (music, rugby, swimming, basketball and sustainability)
  • Concerts, musicals and drama performances
  • School sports and sports carnivals

To keep our students safe and comply with student protection and Work Health & Safety legislation, there are some requirements that must be addressed prior to commencing in a volunteering role.

Requirements

To volunteer at All Saints you will need to:

  • Attend a volunteer induction, refresher induction or other training as directed by the School.
  • Formally register to volunteer by completing an Engagement Form which will be emailed to you after you attend the induction.
  • Provide us with a copy of your Blue Card unless you are able to rely on an exemption from this requirement.
Who needs a Blue Card?

You will need a blue card to volunteer at our school unless you are:

  • A current parent (unless volunteering in our homestay or billet programs)
  • A volunteer under the age of 18 years
  • An individual working (paid or unpaid) for no more than seven days in a calendar year

If a blue card is required, you will need to provide us with a copy prior to commencing in your volunteering role. As a school we are bound by a strict "no card, no start" policy.
